Top 5 Places to Visit in Barcelona

It is impossible to visit all places in Barcelona in one trip. There are so many sightseeings and places of attraction in the city, that even if you get on Big Bus, you’ll barely see all the places tagged on the map on the same day.

I’ve been to Barcelona for 3 days and had a glimpse of that amazing city. Here are my 5 recommended places there.

5. Satan’s Coffee
This point on my list is dedicated to all coffee lovers. In Barcelona you will be able to find infernally attractive varieties of that beverage in Satan’s Coffee. I’ve had my first cold brew in my life here and now it’s my favourite type of coffee.

4. Gothic Quarter
This is the center of old city Barcelona, abundant with gothic style constructions (justifying the given name). It’s rather scary to walk here in the evenings, so my advice is to take a stroll in daytime along those narrow streets and alleys.

3. Boardwalk
Two most memorable things that I’ve done in Barcelona are: exploring la Boqueria and cycling along the boardwalk. The view is fantastic, the weather is really good at any day of the year, but I did get a little cold (obviously, cycling in December wasn’t the best idea). Nevertheless, I felt really comfortable doing that in winter in Barcelona!

2. Gaudi architecture
Firstly, it’s Sagrada Familia, the symbol of Barcelona on tour guide catalogues, a gigantic, fascinating and breathtaking construction that everybody MUST see in the city. Besides that, you can also visit Parc Güell, casa Vicens, Casa Batlló and Casa Calvet. Of course, there are more pieces of architecture by Gaudi in the city, but those were the ones, that I’ve visited myself.

1. La Boqueria
This is number one MUST SEE item in Barcelona for me. Tbh, it was rather difficult for me to enjoy the sightseeings due to a large amount of tourists hanging around the places of interest. But, you can’t spoil la Boqueria with a crowd, because it’s a tremendous market, where lots of people just add up to the atmosphere. I felt like I’ve entered a whole different world there, I didn’t even know where to stop my eyes, the food was so colorful and there was so much of it!

Have fun in Barcelona!
