This boutique Hotel in Santiago is sensational. With direct flights from Sydney most days of the week that only take around 12 hours, a lot more Aussies are going to be heading to South America. And the key when you land in Santiago is staying in the right hotel, and for me, this is it. Singular Hotels is a boutique group of just two five star hotels, and the one in Santiago has only been open two years. It is located in the old part of town, which means that from the moment you arrive, you have the feel of old South America – think grand Spanish buildings with shuttered windows, wide streets, and plenty of restaurants with outdoor courtyards. It’s a safe area, even for a woman travelling solo. The Singular hotel itself is just gorgeous. It has been architecturally designed to blend in with  the old-style feel of the area, as it too has an old-world feel, with every modern facility you could hope for from a five star boutique hotel.
