Kurt Pio is an amazing artist out of Cape Town that I’m currently obsessed with. I found his work on The Jealous Curator, and I was immediately obsessed with his champagne paintings. The diamonds are particularly gorgeous. I love the fractured yellow in the Diamond above. The fractured colors are like reflections of our broken world at the moment.

There’s a scene in the movie Chocolat that I love, where the main character spins a decorated plate and asks characters to tell her what they see. Everyone sees something different– an image that reflects themselves. Looking into the diamonds, I think everyone can take away something different.

But the Veuve Cliquot bottles are what really got me. I’m a sucker for the dripping paint look.
