#CultivateTheUnusual With Hendrick’s Gin

Last week a group of gin lovers celebrated the glorious Cucumber at The Twankey Bar in Cape Town in preparation for World Cucumber Day (Yes, that is a day, and that is today – 14 June!) with Hendrick’s Gin South Africa.

We were treated to a perfectly unusual afternoon with fancy snacks and drinks made in teacups. Hendrick’s Gin announced at the event that, for a few days (until World Cucumber Day), you were able to take a cucumber to the bar and receive a free Gin & Tonic!

I am not sure how many cucumbers they gathered, but I’m sure lots of Capetonians enjoyed a few free G&Ts!

Although the “Cultivate the Unusual” experiment is now over, you can still order your Hendrick’s Gin with a slice of cucumber (or, if you’re like me, make your own cocktail with gin and cucumber as ingredients!).
