From Jurassic To Clairvoyants

That was my Saturday, June 23, 2018…..Jurassic Movie in the afternoon and then the casino for a look at The Clairvoyants.

The only cost was popcorn and soda, and a couple beers before The Clairvoyants.  Movie Pass for the movie, I pay $9.99 a month and go to a different movie everyday (but just one movie a day and never the same movie twice, I get my moneys worth) and The Clairvoyants at the casino were complimentary tickets.  Not a bad Saturday I might say.  I just did.

First, the Jurassic movie.  I had to keep telling myself that these dinosaurs I was seeing on screen weren’t real! They were just that life like!!  UNBELIEVABLE.  Jeff Goldblum was there to the extent of great disappointment. You’ll have to see why for yourself.  I think all the main characters from the previous Jurassic World were there with a few quirky and new characters too.

The movie moved along just fine, it kept just enough suspense to keep you jogging along.

BUT!!!!!  The downfall of the movie to me (and I’m not a critic by no means), the downfall was the dinosaurs.  They overshadowed just about everything else and the actors were complimenary…..the actors were the supporting cast.

There will be another one though…..the movie is set up that way from the very begining (hint: the gate didn’t completely close).

Not to be lost in the dinosaur land is the reason for the movie and that was quite spectular….an ‘erupting volcano!!!  It was WOW!!  Seemed mostly realistic too.  The only thing that wasn’t was that all the characters should have died…..in real life they never would have outrun the toxic ash that was racing towards them.

Ooooops!  I may have said too much.

Go watch it!

From Jurassic To Clairvoyants

On the way to the casino, stopped off at a pub for a couple pints.

I’m ready for The Clairvoyants!

The odd thing is that I didn’t know who The Clairvoyants were!!!  Never heard of them.  The tickets were complimentary from the casino and I like compliments, so I went.

What a surprise we were in for!!

Turns out these two were runner-up to the winner of “America’s Got Talent” (?)  I’ve never seen the show.  I don’t watch much television (I just find more exciting entertainment in my life for the most part), and I don’t do much of any ‘reality tv’.  Yeah, I’ve watched Blake and Adam, but I don’t believe for a full show (I often fall asleep) and I know I didn’t see anything the past two years.

I understand that “American Idol” is back on the tube!  Didn’t see any of it…..life is fine I’m telling you.

Back to The Clairvoyants.  Real quick, they are a magic act.  This guy and this woman.  And, it was great entertainment!!!

They had a unique way of getting people to randomly participate.  They would use balls.  Like a beach Ball in one instance.  It was to be tossed around the auditorium while a song played and when the song stopped whoever had one of the balls would be a participant.

It’s Magic!!!

This one time with the beach ball (6 beach balls), the participants were asked a question that’s answer was numeric.  It was a laugher.  One lady was asked to pick a number between 16 and 49 and she answer ‘4’.  For real!! Anyway….the numbers were written on the beach balls in white so everyone could see the numbers. Meanwhile, the magician guy Thommy, had his wallet on a stand a short distance away.  From his wallet he produced a Powerball ticket he purchased before the show……every number on the beach balls were on the ticket down to the Powerball number!  To make this a bit more interesting a video of The Clairvoyants was shown immediately from a recent visit in California where they had purchased a Powerball ticket with the same identical numbers!!!

It gets really deep here.  Each participant was given a token gift.  One was quite different and unique from the rest, she was given a letter that was sealed but she couldn’t take it with her til later on in the show.  That letter was put in a plexiglass box that was suspended from the ceiling for about three quarters of the show.

Without going into a lot of boring details, when the box was opened there was another participant on stage whose name was Dan.  They had Dan inspect the plexiglass box and open the sealed letter and read it.  The letter mentioned all the participants and their answers and the uniqueness of the evening with a P.S. on the back that he finished up reading that had ‘his’ name in it!!

UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Should you get the opportunity!!!  Go see The Clairvoyants!

Okay….that does it for me, outside awaits.

Peace, love, and beaches,

John
