Happy New Year!!!

Yep, Happy New Year!!!

But is it?  Yes, it’s a new year, but is it happy?  Does it become happy because of the change of a calendar? What’s supposed to be the difference?  The day and all the days after will still have 24 hours. They will consist of a day and a night,  clouds and sunshine, foul weather and beautiful weather, ups, and downs, mostly the same make-up as the preceding 365 days and those before that.

Does fame and fortune await?  Is that what’s the anticipation?  Is there more than just a plan to achieve whatever it is that’s hoped for?



It’s our actions that determine where our lives take us.  If the pebble never hits the water surface in the pond, nothing happens.

It is just as easy to make something good happen as it is to make something bad happen and to make nothing happen, nothing is required to be done at all.

What will it take to make this year happy?  That’s up to you.  It’s really not in anyone’s hands but yours and mine. The amount of control another individual has is the amount we forfeit to them.  It’s up to us to dream and live our future and it starts NOW.  Now, no matter when that NOW is!  It doesn’t have to be at the start of a New Year, a new month, or a new week.  It starts NOW!  So, don’t delay!  If you Delay today, you delay your future……and you don’t get this day but once.  Tomorrow is another day, a day to build upon what you’ve begun today, a day to build from all that has passed.

Happy New Year!!!

I’ve observed that each day I get older, meaning that each day that passes brings me closer to the finish line.  And there is a finish line, I just don’t know when.  So, it’s important to live each moment of each day doing what interests me and what satisfies me.  Sounds selfish?  I can’t do anything for others if I haven’t done for myself!

How do I give money to those in need if I didn’t put myself first to earn the money?  It’s those that complain about the greed of the wealthy that sucks the life and prosperity out of people.  If your goal is to just get by, where does my charity come from?  Poverty?  I think not.

Every day is another piece of the foundation of the future.  And the future is made of the quality of what’s done today.



It doesn’t really matter whether it’s a New Year!

What matters is a new day!  Make the best of yours, I intend to with mine.
