I try to be as calm as possible, whilst staying till late night watching the elections closely since America and Singapore's time zone are literally different. Skipped school when YouTube live announces that Donald Trump is the new president of United States. Not sure how to feel about it but I could see tears from all Hillary Supporters. Then the next day, protests began in the streets of New York and Los Angeles. My mind was still unclear, filled with unanswered doubts as to how he was elected after all the hatred he had build up among the people. So is the LGBT community, an app that I download and occasionally following up my friends. Couldn't help but feel sorry for my fellow friends from the US. Even my teachers were talking about it in utterly shocking manner.

My heart truly goes out to the voices that were denied but majority of the people, particularly women, LGBTQ community, Muslims, Blacks etc. People got to know that his presidency is not defined by his capability and ability to brainwash citizens into thinking they can get their jobs back which may or may not be the truth, only time could tell. Of course, an Asian from Singapore has no other rights to judge or vote but seriously?

Why would you do that to your fellow friends, we're where we are now from past mistakes. This election day made me learned something vulnerable and important, people don't care about the future generations, they only care about how they feel and thus the results prove otherwise. And my heart sank when someone twitted "Muslims be careful and don't wear hijab in the streets".

Politics should be left behind. A good president does not criticize or mock people even if he believes that's the truth. A good president is loving and kind, tries to make things work while not make his supporters provoked even further. Likewise a good president leaves no man behind, and will try his best to solve politics issues faced in the country. A good president will learn past mistakes and prevent that from happening again. A good president loves his people and is equal no matter what. The case is different now, America, I wish you all the best uh.
