The Tall Handsome Policeman, Part Two

So the story continues of the Tall Handsome Policeman and the arrest that followed.  Doesn’t it sound just like a Disney Fairy Tale?

So we pick up where we left off.  Savannah was under arrest………

The policeman told me to get out of my vehicle as I was under arrest.  “For what” I asked of him as I stepped out.  It’s funny the entire time as I was getting out of my car all I could think about wasn’t my arrest, but actually, my shoulder getting dislocated.  My mind was whirling around thinking about if they handcuffed me that it would come out of joint and cause me horrible pain.  I wasn’t even thinking about what I had supposedly done wrong, or what might be the reason.

After getting out of the car, I know I must have sounded like I was begging, but I looked up into the Tall officers eyes and seen some sympathy in them, so told him about my shoulder.  He laughed slightly and said “Little Lady I’m not about to handcuff you”.  Well even though I was under arrest him using the words “Little Lady” won my heart right then and there.
I then asked if I could possibly drive my car on to my house to avoid having to pay for a tow charge.  To which the tall officer agreed but the other one didn’t.  The handsome tall one argued briefly to let me drive it home and said that “she doesn’t look as if she could outrun me, so let’s let her”.  They two officers followed me the remaining two miles home.

Since Dip Shit lives behind us they allowed me to walk down to his home, and tell him what was going on.  After all I needed a bail bondsman in the worst way!  In the meantime I had found out the reason for my arrest.  The tall officer told me that I had a hot check out in another county connected to the one I live in.  No way was this possible as I always use my debit card.  We talked on the way to the station and decided that someone must have stolen some of my checks and forged my name on them.

After getting to the station the Tall Handsome policeman gathered the paperwork and showed me the copy of the check.  Sure enough it was not my siggy on there, a close one, but not mine.

Bad news, I still had to be arrested, booked, charged, fingerprinted and placed in the jail cell.  Thank God the officer didn’t actually let me sit in the jail cell but allowed me only the holding room.  This was because he was actually kind to me, and liked me, plus I had a bondsman on the way to get me out.  I think I am probably the only one in history who has ever smiled in a mug shot.  There I was, standing up, back against a white wall, holding my little card up and smiling.  I was thinking about the policeman and not how much trouble I was actually in.

After what seemed like forever to me my son (Dip Shit) and the bondsman showed up.  I had to appear in court that month to disprove the check was mine, and the officer agreed to help me with this.  I had a lot of paperwork, and “clearing of my name” to do before the month would be over.

Cut to the next couple of nights.  My girlfriend, my very best friend in the world, who actually is the ex-mother in law of my husband, had been talking to me about joining an online dating site.  I had been reluctant to say the least as I felt like a part of me was still in love with my husband.  However I went ahead and joined one she suggested.  This was two nights after my arrest.

While doing an online search for my possible new love interest, if nothing else at least a stinking date, I ran across a picture of what resembled the tall Handsome Policeman.  I sat looking at his picture for quite some time thinking “this has to be him and this has to be fate.”  “The Lord has gone and made this some sort of Omen”, I thought.  My mind was racing, thinking about how handsome I had found him, how much we actually flirted with one another that night, and why not reach out and see if he was actually interested in me or just being nice.  I know it might be hard to believe that someone can flirt and be being arrested, but there was just something that seemed to click for both of us.

So I went to his online profile, sent him a free wink and sat back to see what might happen.  This particular dating site had a built in online “chat” feature and until you added someone as a friend you weren’t able to tell if they were online or not.  Well low and behold the man was online and instantly sent me a flirt back.  I then took the initiative to send him a brief message and asked him if he was a policeman?  He responded back to me asking why I wanted to know.  I guess they are somewhat hesitant to give out that information to just anyone.  Who knows, but I thought it was sorta kinda cute.  This was my first mistake of the online disaster date.  Many more would follow in the weeks to come.

I sent him another message telling him that I thought he might be the officer that arrested me a few nights ago for a hot check, which by the way, I said, was forged.  To which he wrote back and finally agreed “yes, that was him and what a small world or town this is”.  Yes it is a very small town of only about 10,000 and it seems that everyone knows everyone else.

That night the tall handsome policeman and I sat up talking from around 1 am till long into the morning.  He worked second shift, got off work at 12 am and we started talking nightly for hours after that.  We had so much in common, we shared so many laughs, flirts and more.  He was making me feel good about myself again.

I even started setting my alarm clock to wake me around 1 am so that I could get online when he got off work and we could keep “dating” for hours.  We both talked via webcam and it was wonderful.  I was so happy I had listened to my friend and took her advice and signed up for online dating.  I couldn’t have been happier at that time.  I went to work with a smile on my face, tired but what a smile each day.  We really got to know, or at least I thought, we got to know one another.  I mean afterall, we talked for hours and hours sharing everything together in those weeks.  I had honestly thought I had found my Prince Charming and he was right in my own back yard.  Life was grand or so it seemed…………..

Until tomorrow, spread the Secrets,
