Where were we?

Work hasn’t really let up and it got to the point where Philippa and I decided to have a chat with the boss, culminating in me crying and her screaming like a madwoman. I think he got our point and has given some positive indications but I shall carry on believing things when I see them. For the moment I’m concentrating on life outside of the office.

Where did we leave things? Ah yes, I went to England in April for lots of wedding preparations (dress fittings, make up and hair trials); I celebrated my 30th birthday in the company of friends and got my standard fix of English food.

Em’s baby arrived on 13th April and she seems to have gone back to normal!

I went to Switzerland for a long weekend at the beginning of June and will be going back with G for a few days in August.

I’ve obviously been reading the past few months and have watched quite a few films too, highlights would be A Single Man, Traffic, Spotlight; less thrilling were Vanilla Sky, Lincoln and I fell asleep watching Selma.

Books include The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Ti Amo Bastardo by Luciana Littizzetto, Gone for Good by Harlan Coben and Deadly Decisions by Kathy Reichs. I’m now currently reading Eleven Minutes by Paulo Coelho.
