A turning point

Australia was life changing. I’m not just talking about a physical Journey, sorry to sound all hippy, but it really was a personal journey for me too. I didn’t argue with Mother at all, I was patient and calm, we actually had a good few laughs! I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

I went knee-boarding, wake-boarding, Snorkelling off the coast of islands, snorkelling far out on the Great Barrier Reef; I zip-lined through the jungle, watched sunsets and had barbecues on the beach; I laughed and breathed deeply and lived.

I did things instead of thinking about doing them. The thinking came afterwards. Looking into myself and my life, what am I doing? Where am I going? How did I get where I am and is it where I want to be? What daunting but crucial questions to be putting to yourself at 31.
