I am starting this as a sort of journal. Of coarse, since this is on the internet, nothing will be too personal.
First, a bit about me. I am nearing 40. I have spent the last year re-acclimating myslef to civilian life. I spent 20 years in the U. S. Navy. I loved serving my country. However, I am not silly enough to say I loved every minute of it. I enjoyed the comradarie of it all. I did not like all the jobs I had. I don't miss the job. I miss the pay check. I miss some of the people. Like anywhere else, you have the people that you could do without, but have to put up with.
I actually passed the milestone of the first anniversary since I worked my last day in the Navy over this last weekend. It was a rather uneventful day. In fact, I didn't notice until the next day.
