Another great reader question! Thanks to R.W. for sending this one in.

Do you find it odd that some people are fun and lively through facebook, text, or email and yet in person they aren't as fun? Even with people that are older and haven't always had this technology, this seems to be a problem. Thoughts?

Such a good question!!! I see this a lot and have thought the same thing... but I think I might be one of those people that are less "fun" when I'm not speaking through technology. I'm not much of a "small-talk" person... in fact, I hate it. Through technology I don't have to partake in that, I can just move forward to the funny and charming me. :) I do, however, think that I communicate better via written/typed word. I have time to think of my thoughts, write and erase, and then come up with something super witty. I don't have to think on the spot... so yeah, I kinda love communication through technology. My only problem? Grammer and spelling... thank heavens for those little red lines while I type. ;-)

My fear, though, is that in 10 years we are going to have a large batch of people who are unable to communicate verbally because they spend their life connected... me included. Or, that we are going to have C.E.O's that only type in text speak... which drives me INSANE!!! It is literally one of my biggest pet peeves, and I will hide people on facebook that write like that. It does not make you appear smart or funny, it makes you appear lazy and illiterate.
