BT Cafe on Kingsway, Vancouver

Ben and I visited BT Cafe for dinner on a week day when we were in the neighborhood to run errands.

It’s been a long time since we came back to this restaurant. Even the banner has aged.

It was not too busy around 6:30PM. We noticed that the server knows the customers well from their conversation. They must be regulars and live the neighbuorhood.

Ben ordered his comfort Dish; Egg Swirl Rice Noodle. This dish tasted right on the spot and the serving is quite big; enough for both of us to share.

We also ordered a second dish as we do not feel right just ordering one dish in a sit in restaurant. We had the Duck and Preserved Vegetable Fried Rice. I can taste the gaminess of the duck and it’s a good fried rice which is grainy and not lumpy.

The meal came with a complementary hot coffee or tea. Both of us had hot Milk Tea but Ben had the milk tea to go. He is wise and I cannot sleep that night after drinking tea at dinner time.

BT Cafe accepts cash only.  We really enjoy the food here and will return more often.
