Yes, you heard me right.  It is school Vacation week here in Massachusetts.  I have been home with all of my kids, and my husband EVERY DAY this week.  Now you all don't know me well enough yet to know i LOVE my family.  I would go to the end of the earth for them.  But this might be the line in the sand.  Now I am home daily with my youngest, let's call her "monkey", since she is only 23 months old.  My middle daughter, I will call "jiggs" is 5 and in preschool 3 days a week.  My oldest, "toodles" is 14 and in 8th grade...need I say more?!?!  So now instead of being on the precisely planned daily schedule I have, my life has been thrown into sheer chaos because they are all home and expect that it is like the weekend....for 9 days!!!  Because of this I find myself channeling my mother (who mind you is still very much alive and well).  Some phrases that have emitted from my mouth?

- I am not your personal entertainment system

-Stop teasing the dog with your cookie

- how did you get a cookie it is 8am!

-stop eating the cat's food!!

-stop eating the dog's food!!

-We don't stand on tables

-We don't dive bomb into the couch

-Put your sister down!!!

-the dog eats her own poop, please don't let her lick you on the mouth!

This was all just in the last 48 hours, I kid you not.  Yes, we have had some great moments this week.  We took the girls to the Museum of Science - along with everyone other parent in a tri-county area.  some of it was a bit beyond monkey, but jiggs and toodles had a blast. There was a great section for jiggs and monkey that was geared toward 0-8yrs, so they enjoyed that. We definitely will have to take the two younger ones back during the week when all the other zombie children are back in school.

Tomorrow we don't have a heavily planned day, toodles and jiggs are getting their hair cut, and if jiggs doesn't pitch a fit she can get ice cream from Friendly's afterward (me too - wink wink). 

I hope all of you who are suffering through April Vacation that you get some rest tonight....3 more days to go!!


**a note about the "names".  While I am sure you are all lovely people, I cannot be 100% sure none of you are here with ulterior motives.  therefore to protect my family I will give everyone nicknames.  My husband wants to be referred to as "Big" -- a Sex in the City reference, and a private joke between hm and i, so I am being a good wife and indulging him.  As I write about other family members, I will give them new names too.  thank you for your understanding!
