Who is my worst critic?



Lately I have been think about Criticism. Not the constructive type (*raise eye brow*)..but the detrimental and malicious type. The type that makes you feel so low and re-run the words and feelings in your mind continuously throughout the day.  These criticisms (even the miss-communicated ones) hurt!
So who IS my Worst critic??  

Many people may find that their Worst Critic is not that obnoxious co-worker or their overbearing mother- its actually someone much closer to them. It IS them!
The fact is- even if every single person around me thinks I am the best most amazing thing to happen since slice bread, and I win every award- If I am continually criticizing and hating myself- there is no way I will be happy or achieve personal peace or success.
Most of us have met someone who is so physically beautiful and appears perfectly put-together, but after conversations with that person, we quickly realize they are very harsh and negative people.

“I am stupid" "I am ugly" "I am so fat" "I am pathetic" "I am not good enough" These are all phrases many of us have used. And guess what- they do no good. These negative criticisms do not help us grow.
Too often we are our own worst critics. So what are we going to do about it?

We need to recognize this and make attempts to stop these thoughts. If you really think about it, NONE of us would allow someone else to say some of the thing to us that we say to ourselves on a consistent bases. So why do we say them to ourselves? 
Its time we say- “Though I am not perfect, I will be positive. And I can!”






 OUR DAILY PLEDGE:
Today I pledge to make a conscious effort to stop those negative ideas and criticisms I have of “myself” as soon as I recognize them. Instead, I will fill my mind and words with positive statements- “I am able! I am worthy! I am special! I am good! I am smart! I am positive! I am good enough! I am me! I love me!!”
