Emirates is a indie band from Jakarta city based on west jakarta,that formed in 2006. The personel Oky, Nuki, Bayhaqi, Ade and Eko try to make a different way in music. The name of Emirates was taken from the miserable t-shirt which always wear by one of the Emirates member who dont want his name to be publicized. We are all agreed to use Emirates as the name of the band, because of Emirates identical with a multiculture country and we guess that we don’t have any option.Their music consists of distinctively emotional Sound and strong lyrics..but in early 2009 Oky has left the band and after view month Radith ( from hardcore band hell awaits and inside today) changes his position as lead vocal...and a new story has begin..
Salah satu Band Indie asal Jakarta, Jakarta Barat tepatnya. Dengan karya-karyanya yang bergenre Indie Rock Ambient dan Shoegaze hasil perkawinan silang antara Mew, Weezer dan Death Cab.
Berasal dari akar background genre musik yang berbeda-beda hasil ngeband sana sini, seperti Bassist-nya asal band Retrodut legenda Jakarta scene yaitu Sekarwati dan Vokalis baru yang berasal dari keturunan Hardcore, jadi gak sabar buat dengerin karya-karya terbarunya tapi berhubung setiap personilnya masih sibuk sama kerjaannya masing-masing.
Band yang pernah mangkal di top Prambors Indie ini dengan alunan melodi gitar dan keyboard-nya yang sangat Chillin' banget, Pas banget di dengerin saat santai. Emirates is Very Recommended untuk jadi salah satu menu untuk didengar oleh kalian penggemar Indie Rock/Shoegaze untuk mengisi playlist musik kalian.
