Most houses have carpets. There are pros and cons on it but for me as a mom, I like having Carpet better as if my child encounter accident like fall (which is usual having a baby or toddler) it doesn't hit directly to the head or some important parts of a child.

With a carpet, scheduling a carpet cleaning is a must, especially if you have a toddler. And yes, going green is great. Again, as a mom and some other neat-freaks out there, I can sense being on "green" is something that they're on. I can really imagine a high-end cities like Brooklyn in New York that mommies and companies may need like Green Choice Carpet Brooklyn to do the work. Yes, we can vacuum but it's really different if it is a deep cleaning. There will be some food stain residues and some other stuffs sticking in the carpet which it needs a professional to clean it. Well, one can actually learn if one has a plan of doing Do-It-Yourself and I would love to do it, unfortunately, time restricts and hubby is oppose on the idea as it takes a lot of time, besides, our rented-apartment home is not that big so it doesn't take up a lot of work to do for the pro-carpet cleaner --- that being said, you bet it doesn't really require big bucks unlike big houses. I have only a small family to which it means I only need a small home. :-) I can't imagine to those having a big family with just only have enough income. Ooh well. :)
