Hello from Lyon! I got here on Sunday via Paris, and have been suffering from a bad bout of flu the whole time. Because of that, I spent the entire Sunday in bed, and most of Monday and Tuesday as well. I am now much better, so I have been able to do my 2000-word essay assignment, as well as blog an entry on the beauty blog.

I went to the mall on my own yesterday. The first time I went there by myself! All the previous times, either Xav drove or we took the public transport together, so I basically just relied on him. We had dinner at a restaurant in the mall after he ended work and we tried this vitamin thingy he got at the pharmacy, which the pharmacist said was good for the throat and nose etc. Acti-Rub, I think that's what it's called. We dissolved it in water and oh man, it was probably the most horridly bitter thing I've ever tasted. Even bitter gourd is yummier!

Today it's been mostly rainy and extremely windy and I'm glad I'm indoors. Later on in the day Xav and I are going to Colmar, where the beautiful Christmas markets are! I can't wait. This weekend is going to be fun! We'll just have to bring along our medication though... We're both sick.

OK, I'm going to lay a while in bed and then shower and pack for the weekend. Will write again soon!
