So I spent a good long time thinking about what epic topic I should talk about for my first blog. I Honestly have so many things that I could talk about but I decided to talk about school. I am now almost done with my first quarter of COLLEGE! Last year at this time I was busy freaking out about getting into a College. I had no idea what to expect when coming to Cal Poly. Quite honestly, no one could have prepared me for all the responsibilities and challenges that I have had to face. Before coming here, I heard all sorts of things like, "college is the best 4 years of your life," "you meet your best friends at college," "the freedom is great." I am not going to lie...I LOVE the freedom I have here. Not having to do your homework if you don't feel like it, staying out all night, skipping classes and everything. It's great! Unfortunately, no one tells you about what to do when you do all of that and then find 2 weeks before finals that your grades are all down. I have hit an all time low. I am suffering the consequences of my actions for the last 2 months, I miss my family, and I miss my friends. I honestly feel so behind. I have learned my lesson and will not do this again. On the bright side, Thanksgiving break starts after tomorrow for me. My best friend is coming to visit, I get to see my family and the best friends that anyone could ever ask for. After tomorrow I am going home.
