Not Dead Yet: Fallout Shelter Edition

I was considering killing off this blog, but somehow, here we are with an “I’M NOT DEAD YET” post. So to keep things on-theme, let’s talk about a 3 year-old mobile game that I’m somehow still playing.

Fallout Shelter came out in 2015, and I was playing it purely on mobile back then. I thought I managed to quit the game for good in 2016, but no! In 2017, I downloaded it on desktop via Steam, and here we are today.

Honestly, the game is much easier (and dare I say more fun?) to play on desktop vs my iPhone 5 or iPhone SE. The screens are just too tiny to click-and-drag my dwellers where they need to be, or to target enemy molerats/deathclaws/raiders in combat.

While I try to be a fair and efficient Overseer, I have to admit that I am a bit sexist.

There are currently no males in my vault (aside from a couple of the pets). I only had a couple of males help populate my Vault at the start, but that was about it. And yes, I edited all the dwellers’ names to show last names first, so I knew which dwellers are related or not.

It’s funny how I’ve kept playing Fallout Shelter for so long; it’s not like there’s any new content, and the gameplay isn’t exactly groundbreaking or exciting. I’m just a sucker for simple building/resource management games that require minimal effort and commitment.

Right now, I’m just working on getting all my dwellers’ stats maxed out, gearing them up with rare/legendary weapons and armor…and turning everyone into a redhead because I have nothing better to do with my caps.

More content and updates to come soon!
