Vegan and Booze. Car Crashes and Boys.

Well, it's Tuesday. I barely survived Monday. Terrible day. My computer crashed AGAIN on Sunday (I'm on my old, crappy one right now), School was just ridiculous, and then I had a car accident. It was raining ridiculously hard and I was heading to Tyler's house to eat dinner. He lives about 15 minutes away from me. It was obvious it was about to storm really bad, so I left in hopes of beating the storm. Well...it didn't quite work out that way. It started raining buckets on me about four miles from his house and people here SUCK at driving in rain. All the people in front of me slammed on their brakes, I slammed on my breaks, heard the squeeling tired, and just waited on the impact. The guy tried not to slam into me, but it was slick and he couldn't stop. He was in a pickup with a grill guard, so it did some work on the back passenger side of my car. He was really sweet about it, though. I got all his info, he's a lawyer who went to TX Wesleyan (what are the odds?) and felt terrible. It was raining sooooo hard, so we didn't even call the cops. He just gave me his insurance info and let me copy down all the stuff from his driver's license. I'm going to get an estimate next week and hopefully find time to get it fixed soon. I was shaken up, but it wasn't world ending by any means. At least I had a pretty boy to comfort me afterwards. My dad was pretty pissed and my parents are threatening to come down here to help me get it fixed and stuff. I don't have time for that right now, though, I have a midterm in torts next week. Ugh. Getting a little overwhelmed again, but life is basically good.

The new boy said he can help me w/ the car situation and drive me around while it's getting fixed. Another good friend from class offered to drive me around and help me out with stuff, and another one helped me out by getting my assignments from my first class today (might have skipped that one because I'm having a craptastic day...hehe). At least I've met some people to help me out since none of y'all are around :( And they're all really pretty guys...so that helps a lot! Tehehehe.

I'm cooking the new boy dinner tonight...and this is a big step. I generally don't cook for guys, so everyone cross your fingers and hope it goes well! I'm so ready to see everyone. I'm all smart and lawyerish now...ok, that's a lie, I'm not. I am a far bigger dork than I was when I left. Ask Jenn, she's seen it first hand. Two things I have discovered and notice more and more everyday: 1) Law school and maturity absolutely do not go hand-in-hand. In fact, we're probably all much more immature than we were at this time last year. 2) I thought law school would mean less drinking. Not true. I of course gravitated towards the worst influences I could possibly find. Haha, at least it's fun.

Good story: The way our classes are divided is kind of strange. I have torts, civ pro, property, and contracts with the same about 90 people every day and we chose our seats the first week of class. So, I sit with the same group in every class and they're the people I hang out with outside of class. Our other class is writing and it divides the 90 of us up into four smaller sections. Probably my best guy friend here is in my smaller writing section (he's sooooo cute and sweet, Jenn and Christine have heard LOTS about him when I get drunk hehehe). Last Friday, we got out of writing and were standing in the hall trying to decide what to do during our hour and forty-five minute lunch break. It was me, Clint (my friend), probably the dorkiest kid in school, and the token, smart, Asian kid, who barely speaky any English. We decided to go grab something quick and bring it back to the library. We hop in Clint's car and dorky guy pipes up from the back "I could use a beer." I think he was probably kidding, but Clint and I were hung over from the night before and we were just like "Done." Asian kid is freaking out in the back, so we basically just kidnap him. We go to the Mexican food place, walk in, and it's PACKED. So we decided to just drive until we see a restaurant with Booze. We see a sign and all we read is "Cafe. Beer. Wine." Done. We go in and are like "Ummmm, this place is weird, but they have booze. Whatever." We sat down and quickly discovered...we were in a straight Vegan restaurant!!! No meat, no cheese, NOTHING. Just like sprouts and tofu. They did, however, have $1.50 Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. Seriously. I kid you not. Is that just super counterintuitive?! P.S. All I could think about while I order three Pabst (at the same time) was Matt and Aggi drinking Pabst in the limo. So we downed three Pabst a piece and ate tofu, went back to class late and feeling REALLY well. Asian kid kept getting up to pee, Clint and I kept laughing at inappropriate times. GOOD DAY. So, from now on, Friday's are the designated VEGAN AND BOOZE days. And we're taking other people down with us! That's how we're going to win at law school. Get all the smart kids drunk and make them fail so we win. Man, we are smart. :)
Time to get ready for class. I hope everyone has a great week!
