Tags: summer
Today was probably the most hectic day of the summer (not that I've had any particularly chaotic days this summer).
So here's a brief overview:
(previous day) 6pm - Friend comes over and we buy practically the entire supermarket
(previous day) 9pm - Friend and I watch the Sixth Sense (surprised that it wasn't as scary as I expected)
12am - Friend goes home
1am - I watch "Living with Michael Jackson" (truly inspiring documentary)
4am - I decide to get ready for bed (NOTE: I was currently getting ready for bed, this includes hygiene, cleaning dinner mess, packing diswasher, feeding the cat, cleaning the mess my friend and I created etc...)
4:30am - I go to bed
5am - I fall asleep
8am - Wake up to meet Friend (yes, the friend previously mentioned)
11am - Leave to go to a "special gathering" (with CELEBRITIES - AH!)
12pm - Friend gets confused with directions and we get lost in a place that wasn't exactly near home...
1pm - Friend and I are still trying to figure out how to get where we were going. I get into a nasty argument with my beloved mummy.
3pm - We finally get to our destination (we were supposed to be there at 12), we step in feces that some ignoramus decided to considerately leave for the world to see. It wasn't canine either. :X
5pm - We leave for home, I'm scared half to death to go home (mother usually takes these arguments quite seriously)
6pm - I get home; mum's not here; I begin to think that her anger coerced her into abandoning her only child
6:30pm - I call mum, she's at Target, doesn't even remember what happened, I go to meet her at Target
8pm - We get home, I'm ecstatic that I found an awesome Summer skirt in Target for FOUR DOLLARS.
(see below)
Point of this unnecessary and overly-explained chronological overview: I went to bed late, woke up early, and kept going, going, going for the rest of the day (it also amazes me that I decide to post on a day when I'm exhausted instead of , like yesterday, when I was sitting around on the couch doing pretty much nothing - might be because I'm delirious and don't really care what I am or am not writing).
Anyway, you probably don't care, I know, and that's quite alright - I wouldn't care either. Honestly, it's nice to be comfy and cozy in your home or whatever surroundings that helps you find peace and think back on the past day. If it was stressful and hectic (like mine), you're glad that it's over and it gives you a feeling a tranquility when you realize that it's all over. If it was pleasant (unlike mine), it makes you feel content and gives you hope for the next day's "bringings". See, I can be optimistic. :)
On a lighter note, I did find out that, contrary to the unappealing direction of my summer, I will be doing something productive soon (well, for me anyway (; ).
Next week, I'll be heading off to my aunt's house for a few days. I know it doesn't sound like such a "sweet escape", but because my aunt and I live in completely different areas, it's so refreshing to be in a different environment, something that you haven't seen every day of your life and know like the back of your hand.
The next week I'll be going to California, and after that Virginia. :)
Sounds awesome right? It is, but there are some cons of these trips:
1) I'm not going to complete any summer homework. With five books and reports (four due on August 25th), 6 AP Art pieces and 48 AP Art/Mixed Media photographs to complete, I should've started the day school went out.
But why would anyone want to do that?
After realizing that you passed (or did not pass) your tests and classes, why in God's holy name would you want to do more work? Just one of those unsolved mysteries I guess.
2) I'll miss my mumsie and kitty kat at home.
and
3) I'll have to leave Wally (my kitty) at home to get babysat by a nice old woman that lives next door (I won't lie, I do get a little skeptical because old women are prone to having shorter memories... :( )
Well, I'm off to watch CSI and listen to my cat cower in the corner from fear of the thunder. Poor kitty.
Good night my fellow bloggers.
