A couple of weeks ago, the kids informed me that they were too old for Easter Eggs this year.  Apparently, cash would be an acceptable substitute as that’s what ALL of their friends get instead of chocolate these days!

After I explained that cash for Easter wasn’t happening, they tried to bargain for a gift instead of an Easter Egg and we agreed that we would buy some Easter Eggs for the food bank out of their pocketmoney and that I would buy them a gift instead of an Easter Egg.  To be honest, I would have rather bought them a gift anyway to avoid the chocolate but I just didn’t like them asking for it, especially with the justification that their friends did something one way so they wanted to do it that way too.

Anyway, the fact that they were too old for chocolate lasted for about three days until they saw the photo of the Hotel Chocolat Hamper which is currently winging it’s way to us ready for the people who aren’t too old for chocolate (me and Mr Frugal) to dig into on Easter Sunday.

The fact that they’re currently arguing over who’s going to have the eggs and soldiers suggests that they may be changing their mind about the whole chocolate/gift debate when the lovely little Hotel Chocolat hamper gets to us.

Anyway, the reason I’m telling you about this now and not when we receive the hamper is because I’m running a giveaway for one of you lovely lot to win your very own Hotel Chocolat hamper.  I need to have the winner back before I go to New York next Thursday to guarantee deliver of one of these particular hampers so I have to start the giveaway before I get the hamper.
