Passing the torch

Yup, the girl on the left side of this garden tub, my best friend and Bridesmaid Toni, will be walking down the aisle herself in just 10 short months. You may recall the cute proposal. And I am beyond flattered that she and Nick chose the same venue - the ultimate complement!!

So we had some tasty pasta at Casella's today, and talked a little wedding. Not mine, hers. I must say, it was pretty refreshing to discuss, colors, flowers, favors and bridesmaid dresses, and know that I am forever done with this nonsense.

And for that small part of me that desperately misses the nonsense, I have Toni's wedding to plan. And that is exciting. It is exciting and a bit nostalgic at the same time, since I can still remember us doodling exaggerated wedding dresses on notebook paper when were in high school.

So today, I feel like I officially changed gears. I gathered the remaining wedding mags I own - Bride, Modern Bride, Bridal Guide and Martha Stewart Weddings (hey, you only get to subscribe to these once, right?) - and gave them to Tone. I gave her all of my calligraphy table number cards and promised to help her order the missing "table six." I also promised her baskets and letters after I am done pimping them out to Jess, who gets married in 3 weeks.

And now I officially feel back to being in bridesmaid mode. Wedding withdrawl? There is no time for that.
