Our Take on Living Together

In today’s post, we’re sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly about living together.

1.What’s your favorite thing about living together?

G: My favorite thing about living together is that no matter what happens throughout the day, I know I can come home and be in my woman's presence. And in her presence I am the happiest.

Y: It is one big sleepover with your best friend! I work a lot and late so I really enjoy getting to spend so much time together. Waking up next to each other every day and going to sleep together is every night. Getting to share life together in every aspect of it.

2.What’s your least favorite thing about living together?

G: My least favorite I must say not being in control of the decor.

Y: I would just like to say that I did ask for his opinion on our decor... my least favorite thing would be that boys are messy (and don't have good taste in decor lol) and also I have Xbox controllers and games all over my living room that I have to tidy up 5 times a day ;)

3.What advice do you have for couples that are moving in together?

G: Be completely honest with one another, make sure its what you really want. Always find a way to talk and work out problems.

Y: You should be ready to learn new things about each other. You will learn all sorts of things about their habits and odd quirks and good quirks about them and communicate, communicate, communicate.

4.What have you learned since living together?

G: One thing I’ve learned is that communication is very important. Sitting back and just listening to the other person might be a lot better than trying to get your point across.

Y: I have learned that G is truly the most patient man on earth. I cannot say enough how blessed I am to have him! He built so much IKEA furniture like a champ when we moved in! As mentioned above, I’ve also learned that communication is key.

I absolutely love living with G and if you’re serious, if you’re madly in love with this person, you’re going to make it work. You’re going to get past the little annoyances and frustrations. You’re going to find joy because you see this person every day, you snuggle up to the them in the evening and morning.
