Have you heard Daddy’s Home  2 is available on Blu-ray today?!

My family watched it over the weekend and enjoyed it.  My son is still saying how much he enjoyed the movie.  Mind you it has been a couple of days since we watched it.

I know he really enjoyed it because he sat next to me on our sectional laughing uncontrollably throughout the entire movie.    As  he enjoyed the movie I kept saying, “I am going to make you sit somewhere else!”  After a while I had to remind myself that I cannot be mad that he is enjoying the movie so much.  I eventually stopped getting upset.

Don’t get me wrong.  The movie was funny.  We all just had our favorite scenes.

There was a lot of to laugh at in this hilarious and heartwarming film, which stars Mark Wahlberg, Will Ferrell, Mel Gibson, John Lithgow, Linda Cardellini and John Cena,

Daddy’s Home 2 Synopsis:

When it comes to raising their kids, Dusty (Mark Wahlberg) and Brad (Will Ferrell) finally have this co-parenting thing down.  That is, until Dusty’s macho dad (Mel Gibson) and Brad’s sweet-natured father (John Lithgow) come to town, throwing the whole family into complete chaos.  As old rivalries create new problems, Dusty and Brad’s partnership is put to the ultimate test in this hilarious and heartwarming comedy that gives new meaning to the term ‘blended family.’

In today’s time many blended families exist and can relate to the many issues depicted in this movie.   Daddy’s Home 2 found a way to make us laugh at real life situations.  At times the laughs were a little slap stick.  Those are the parts my son lost his mind.  But, there were many scenes that I laughed because I understood or relate to them in some way.

I do not want to sound biased, but the film seemed to be based around Dusty.  I really like Mark Wahlberg!   Having to co-parent with Brad his ex wife Sara, his new wife, Karen and deal with his kids, step daughter, two dads and a his step daughters father, he had a lot on his plate.   Then factor in the loads of testosterone flying around.  Surprisingly  Dusty was not defeated and a softer side was revealed.  It made me like him even more.

Now I am wondering will there be a Daddy’s Home 3?  For my son’s sake, I hope so.  He loves this film.

Daddy’s Home is a film that can be enjoyed all year long.
