Finally Friday!

Tags: book worn lenses

I have a weekend off now and I am so pleased about that.  I know there are a lot of people out there who have Monday to Friday jobs and do prefer that, but for me I do like to have my week split up a bit.   Retail can be very demanding however, and sometimes that's just the way it goes.  I am quite a flexible person anyway, so it doesn't really bother me all that much working five straight days.   It is nice to change it up every now and again though, and have a day off in the week.

So today in work they decided to have a bit of a move around on the floor, which I knew they were going to do, I just didn't know they were starting it today.   It has been about four years....approximately, since the Homewares floor in House Of Fraser Lincoln has had such a major move around, I remember because I was there the last time they did it.  It's definitely going to give every customer who comes in a fresh perspective on what we sell up there, so it's all good.   Well, that's the plan anyway.   Fingers crossed it will work.

This week seems to have gone quite quickly, and that's probably because it has been quite busy in work with moves, internet orders and delivery.   I have quite enjoyed it at work this week.  I have even worn my contact lenses a few days more this week than I normally do.   Four days I have worn them this week.   So I think I am used to them again now.   I have worn lenses before but it was about ten years ago.   It has taken me a bit of time to get used, particularly taking them out, but I am pleased I wear them for work.   I can see a bit better with my contact lenses than I can with my glasses!   Eye test is due, March I reckon.

Tonight I have just been chilling out, doing a bit of colouring whilst watching Question Of Sport which is quite good.   I am not really a very sporty person, though I do follow football (Lincoln City and Liverpool FC) but really I just like the show, I usually find it quite entertaining.   I also have a new book to read.  I do really want to get back into reading.   I read magazines, but with books I can be a bit 'hit and miss' with nowadays.  I used to read a lot years ago.  I have read Lord Of The Rings trilogy, and most of Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels, Stephen King, Jeffery Deaver and a few others.   The book I am going start reading is Piranha by Clive Cussler.   It was a book I bought for my dad for Christmas.  So I'll give it a go, see what it's like.

Thanks for reading.
