Small Acts of Freedom Review

Living with the knowledge of remembering the statistics of your work is a Reward. The Month of February is proving to be a manic month for me, the things aren't comfortable but they're fun for sure. Taking a break from commercial writing is actually a major Discomfort, but accepting this discomfort is a Reward. Starting to feel bore by now... I'm sorry these are the thoughts from a manic tuesday... okay ! let's get into the the title of the post:

"SMALL ACTS OF FREEDOM" by Gurmehar Kaur is her debut release which is all about the fierceness of love, the power of  family and the little acts that begets big revolutions - I pre-ordered the book back in January 2018, i kinda agree with most of her opinions about the whole system and the way she fought the battle on social media against ABVP last year was incredible. In her book starting with the Introduction on how it all started was a facebook post she uploaded after the Ramjas College Scuffle created by some members of ABVP assaulting the students who were silently protesting. The Facebook post was a picture where she with a placard in her hand which said: 'I am a student from Delhi University. I am not afraid of ABVP. I am not alone. Every student of India is with me. #StudentsAgainstABVP'. It went Viral and All of a sudden, she became the focus of a conversation she hadn't even started. Her book Small acts of Freedom is actually about the Three Generations of Strong Women in her own family i.e her Nani: Amarjeet Kaur, her Mother: Raji and she herself. The Book covers all the incidents which lead to that whole peace activism fight scene last year. In my opinion 'Small Acts of Freedom' is an Incredible Read this book tells you about courage, strength, passion, resilience and most importantly Love. In all of the bits i can feel the emotions she had gone through when the incidents were happening in her childhood, the writing in the book is purely from her heart. She, her Mother and her Nani are really strong women. Gurmehar's book is a tribute to her father Captain Mandeep Singh and her mother who kept his memories alive.

Its her Debut work and she has presented it incredibly, I give this book 5 Stars and wish her all the best for her future endeavors.

a jannat where humanity and happiness are still alive.

Thanks For Reading
