This weekend I on behalf of R4review had the privilege to unlock the mystery of the newly launched Mystery Rooms in Bangalore.

Confused ! Well for those who are not aware of what I am talking about,here are the details.

About Mystery Rooms–

Imagine being locked in a thrill space with your team and you have exact 60 minutes to use logic, solve puzzles, find hints, and prove the power of team work to pave your path to freedom. Everything is just in front of your eyes, within your reach. It’s up to you how you use your five senses in the best possible way to rescue you and your team members.

This unique adventure is formulated on the super hit “Room Escape” games rocking the net all over the world. It is a challenging race against the clock where the sole motive is to get yourself out of a theme based room before the time stops.

Currently operational in nine cities Mystery rooms in Bangalore is based out in Indiranagar, one of the most popular hangout area of the IT city. At
present there are four rooms with diverse and interesting themes and with changing difficulty level. But trust me when I say this, here even the easy level is not so easy.

The challenges are-

1. The Hurt Locker – A Bomb Defuse Challenge

4. Cabin In The Woods – The Murder Mystery

About the challenge–

You will be locked inside the room with no cell phones and any other belongings. The belongings will be kept locked inside a locker and the keys given to you. Once you enter the arena your time begins. A screen is there which displays the time. There will be lifelines and there will be a game master who will observe your every move. He may help you in between if he finds you stuck somewhere.

Everything inside the room is so meticulously planned. I was amazed to see the way the puzzles were made. There were puzzles on combinations, numbers, jigsaw puzzles, lock and key, crosswords, techie stuff and what not. The planning has been done in such a way that you cannot afford to miss even the minutest detail.

Time will just fly and it feels like 60 minutes are over in just 6 minutes and your heart will be craving to find what next.

The best part is it is not at all dangerous and it does not contain any horror element. It requires no physical exertion and is suitable for all ages above 10. And just in case you miss out on time, they are kind enough to give you more time for few extra bucks.

The people there have left no stone unturned to make you feel like a winner.If you are successful in solving the challenge you will step out not only with the victory smile but because you will also be given a Gold Medal and a discount voucher for a sumptuous meal to celebrate your big win.

My Experience-

When I came to know about the theme I found it very unique and thrilling. The very idea of you being locked in a room with a mission in your hand gave me goosebumps.

Since it calls for a group activity we went there in a group of four with two toddlers with us. The people out there are really courteous and fun loving. They explained to us in detail about the challenge and the concept. Since it’s the first time we were playing this kind of game we were suggested the Hurt Locker Challenge where we were officers of bomb diffusing Squad. We were closed in one room and we have to find the bomb and diffuse it. Exciting as it sounds, the better it was when we were playing. I was initially very much worried about my little one. To my surprise even our toddlers loved playing there while we were concentrating on finding the clues.

They have party rooms to organize Birthday Parties for families and team building activities for corporate. They give Karaoke sessions free if you reserve them for such events or parties. And all this comes on a very nominal pricing.
