SUPER EASY CANVAS DIYS!

Tags: canvas tape paint

Today I decided it was finally time to get some wall decor for our house, I have been wanting to do a canvas polaroid peg display for a while so went out and picked up a few craft items to make it with. I also wanted to make something I saw on tumblr which was a diamond made out of mini triangles which you can cut out from a magazine or colourful paper it was super easy and fun to make! My last canvas i decided to do was triangle painted using scotch tape quick and simple to do perfect lines.

Here is a tutorial on how I created these simple affordable wall displays.

Things you will need!
Pva/craft glue
 Acrylic Paint
Scotch tape
Colourful Paper Or Magazine
3 x Blank Canvas
Mini Pegs
Washee Tape
Paint brushes
Scissors

1. Peg Polaroid Canvas

Items you will need:
String/twine
Mini pegs
Blank canvas

Also another creative idea would be to paint the canvas how ever you like to bring a pop of colour! Instead I decided to just do a blank canvas with blue twine.

Using the twine cut three pieces about a foot long, wrap around the canvas and attach to the back using pva glue or a hot glue gun. I used tape to secure mine better at the back. You can place your lines of twine however you like whether it be up down up or straight across however you like!
If you dont want to use the twine and pegs I picked up these sparkly washee tapes which you can use to stick down your polaroid photos creating different patterns. Once your twine is attached attach the pegs along and secure your photos. That's simply all it is!

2. Scotch Tape Painted Canvas

Items you will need:
Acrylic paint which ever colours you would like I used pink, blue and black creating the white lines with the tape.
Paint brushes
Scotch Tape
Blank Canvas

Starting with your blank canvas start by placing tape along one corner to the other then continue to add tape where ever you like to create smaller triangles all over. They do not have to be even the more uneven the better!

Using the different coloured paints start by painting the different sectioned off triangles, don't worry if it looks completely messy because once that tape comes off the excess paint will also come off and straighten up the edges.

Once the canvas is painted, wait until it is completely dry and pull away the tape! done

If some of the paint has gone over the edges use white paint to touch up.

3. Diamond Canvas

Things you will need:
Canvas
Magazine or coloured paper
Scissors
Pva Glue

To make this super simple diamond canvas out of triangles start by cutting out your triangles using either magazines with cool patterns or as I used patterned colourful paper.
Once you have cut out 14 triangles, start by placing 5 along the top, then 5 along the next row, followed by 3 then 1.
Simply glue them down, wait to dry and there you have it, an awesome unique diamond canvas!

These canvas diplays are so easy and affordable while also being super fun to make while also being able add in your own creative style and ideas. Thanks for reading! New vlog will be up on my youtube channel tomorrow SHAN&DAN VLOGS
