Something odd and unusual, Queenie actually got me a gift for out anniversary? That's probably the 3rd time ever so, um, it was weird. Anyway, I built a 'new' shed and modified it to her specifications (looks different from my plans, not quite as useful. but she likes it so ... that's odd too) so she bought me a rooster wind-vane for it:
Made use of the daughters old kiddy wagon:Garlic!!
Little corns. they've actually more than doubled in size in the few days since this was taken:
Strawberries!!
Basil:
A newly expanded flower bed w/fountain that i am working on for Queenie. Just a couple touches left to finish it:
Sunny flowers:
Zucchini!!
Blueberries. This is my second attempt and it actually produced a few dozen berries. Hoping for nore next year ...
The lone cherry. And it promptly fell off and was partially eaten by a varmint the next day. It's a sad tale, I planted 3 cherry trees a few years back. Two died a year later so I planted two more, they died (chicken victims I think) so I planted two more and one died over winter. The 'original' tree is 12 feet tall, 15 feet wide and has yet to produce a single cherry. This single sherry grew on the newest tree. It's a sad, sorry saga.
Sentries on duty. This combo finally thwart whatever has been eating my corn seedlings the last several years. Not completely, but enough that I didn't have to do 3 plantings ...
Clover!
And finally, garlic. Bunches and bunches. Planted 800-ish, figure to harvest around 800 as a few rotted in the ground. Chickens LOVE squishy garlic so it's all good.
