Schiller Compensating Euphoniums vs. Schiller V

I am looking into purchasing a Schiller Euphonium and am between the Schiller Compensating Euphonium and the Schiller Elite V. I am looking into laquer finish.

The website says the compensating one is a “European design” and is 11 1/8 inches. It also doesn’t have a main tuning slide trigger. This price is about $900.

The Schiller Elite V according to the website is a “british design” and is 12 1/4 inches. It does have the main slide trigger but does not have the rose brass lead pipe. This one is about $1500.

Why is there a hige price difference? Is the difference worth it? Opinions would be great. Also what would be the difference in feel and sound from a British design to a European design?

Thanks :)
