Recently, at a “Lil Uzi Vert and Friends” show in Philadelphia, the 24-year-old rapper announced that his album, Eternal Atake, is finally done.
Before performing a song that is presumed to be on the upcoming effort, Uzi said, “Ima drop that jawn,”- referring to the release which does not yet have a drop date. The overall concept of the collection has been subject to much speculation due to its album cover, which is a direct reference to the Heaven’s Gate cult.
The artwork was described by current members of the cult, known for the 1997 mass suicide of its members coinciding with the Hale-Bopp comet, as “not fair use or parody, it is a direct and clear infringement.”
With that known, the project could contain extremely dark content akin to “XO TOUR Llif3” or could have no connection at all. Some may prefer the former.
