After teasing her new Album last week, Janelle Monáe has shared the first single from her upcoming album Dirty Computer. It’s called “Make Me Feel,” and it sounds like a solid contender for a chart topper. Watch the official music video below.
Speaking with Zane Lowe, who premiered the song on Beats 1, the talented singer/actress said of Dirty Computer, “I actually had this title on this concept before my first album The ArchAndroid, and it scared me because a lot of the things that I knew that I needed to say were very deep, very personal, from the heart. You know, this is an extremely vulnerable album and it took me a while to make it because I’m a self editor.”
Dirty Computer will be Monáe’s first release since 2013’s The Electric Lady, pre-order it here.
Monae also shared an additional video for “Django Jane.” Both videos are part of a larger narrative film, which is being called an “Emotion Picture,” that will be released alongside the album. Both of those will be out on 4/27.
