“Motions” is a just-released track from Shoffy (Alex Shofler), who impressed a few months back with his creative remix of Calvin Harris’ “Slide”. Despite being a cover, that effort showed Shofler’s own melodic and instrumental charm, with original additions including a blues guitar, Wurlitzer, and his own vocals. Suffice to say, anyone who heard that was made well aware that Shofler’s original tunes are quality as well. “Motions” plays off a developing, soulful sound with its gliding guitar trickles, smooth vocals, and illuminated keys — a great cross between guitar-laden pop and more electronic dance-laden movements. Another success from Shofler.
