We’ve raved about off-beat multi-instrumentalist Andrew Applepie before, and today we’re thrilled be be able to share the premiere of his latest single ‘Not Gonna Lie’.
The track is the first release from the Berlin-based musician’s seventh album, ‘California Kamala Falcon’ (due for release on 28 September), and is a breezy slice of upbeat obscure fun-pop and matched to a suitably weird video that plays on the overlay between reality and animation.
Applepie explains: “Not Gonna Lie is a song about the line between love and obsession. Sometimes, if you cannot give people and things and places you love enough space it might put stress on a relationship. I tried to capture the feeling of coming back from this and finding that sweet spot of coexistence again.”
