Pistol Annies Tease New Album with Postcards to Fans

Pistol Annies have been secretly working away on their third studio album. While details are still scarce and unconfirmed, the trio, comprised of Miranda Lambert, Angaleena Presley and Ashley Monroe, are beginning to spill their secrets slowly but surely.

On Friday, Sept. 21, Pistol Annies tweeted a video with a mail crate, writing “Alright y’all we’ve sent out a whole lot of postcards that have some signs about our new album. If you got a postcard share a picture using #PistolAnniesAreBack. Scotty McCreery Found Strength in Seasons Change: ‘You’re Stronger Than You Think You Are’

Leading up to his latest album Seasons Change, Scotty McCreery went through a series of challenging, yet meaningful learning experiences that paved the way for 14 honest tracks. The American Idol winner conveys the longing for moments he can’t get back on the impactful “Five More Minutes” and preludes the emotions he felt leading up to his wedding day on “This Is It.” But the record of personal observations was comprised during a dark period in McCreery’s career.

Suddenly dropped from Mercury Nashville in 2016, his label home since winning Idol in 2011, McCreery was confronted with the unpleasant side of the music business in a year he refers to as the “lowest point” in his life. The sudden change forced McCreery to navigate the world as an independent artist, a new way of thinking he’s tackled with aplomb. Loretta Lynn to Receive Artist of a Lifetime Honor at CMT’s 2018 Artists of the Year

The 2018 CMT Artists of the Year celebration will honor the talented women of country with an all-female ensemble. To carry over with the ladies-only event will be Artist of a Lifetime recipient, Loretta Lynn.

“I’m always so proud when I receive any awards for my music, but when I heard it was this year’s ‘Artist of a Lifetime’ award it made me really happy,” said Lynn. “It’s an honor to be able to make music that people enjoy and I’m really excited to have a new album coming out. Thank you CMT for acknowledging me with this award and for honoring the women in country music at ‘Artists of the Year.’”  Read more at Sounds Like Nashville
