In The Studio with Redbeard Radio Show Review

If you have never heard an In The Studio with Redbeard broadcast you are missing out on one of the most engaging and entertaining shows on radio. Redbeard is a rock dj from Dallas, Texas who has interviewed a massively long list of famous classic rock artists. The nationally syndicated radio show aired first back on June 26, 1988 and has grown to broadcast on a network of 90 radio stations.

The show is a “rockmentary” that showcases the history of an artist or band each week by presenting compelling interviews combined with the band’s music. Redbeard has a very engaging and comfortable style that seems to bring out the behind the scenes information that we all love to find out about our favorite artists. Some of my favorites Redbeard interviews are with Zeppelin (Page and Plant), Kansas (Ehart, Livgren, Walsh), Journey (Perry, Rolie, Schon), Van Halen (Anthony, Alex Van Halen) and the Tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughn (Chris Layton, Tommy Shannon, and Eric Clapton). I have found that even shows that feature an artist that I am not that crazy about are still very interesting to listen to.
