Oh its got a sparkle in its eye alright, you can tell as much from the chord progressions and the classic swaggering Vocals from Jonny Perdue, which sit atop the noise almost presidential like. There were moments on ‘Shadows’ that represent that true sun-going-down incandescence and there’s also a lovely empathy between the boy and girl vocals as they rise and fall together into a tropical chorus. Might make you feel like summer never ended. KH
