Reminded me of the Gossip at first but there is more of a 90’s indie rock swagger going on here than initially reasoned. And it’s not confined to the charging chords or beating drums but can also be drawn from a singer who has that alt-hero feel about what he does. Melody not forgotten about either, which means it all adds up to gold to ye olde hugger’s ears. Nostalgia it seems, still has a future. KH
