A Candid Message & New Brand Of Pop From Wyvern Lingo

Wyvern Lingo is a three-piece group from County Wicklow, Ireland. Karen Cowley
(Keyboards, Vocals), Caoihme Barry (Vocals, Drums) and Saoirse Duane (Vocals, Guitar) release this follow up 'Out Of My Hands' to 'I Love You, Sadie'.
The band caught the eyes of Rubyworks with their self-released EP and have supported fellow Irish contemporaries Hozier recently on a UK Tour.  'Out of My Hands' is a fresh new brand of Pop that is steeped in harmony that bounces off each member’s vocals. The song slowly hooks the listener in with a brace of soul that will please any Gospel fans before leading you with a slick rhythm guitar part and foot-stomping beat. The song is Wyvern Lingo's most politicized to date which manages to maintain the harmony that reflects the evocative message.
This song was inspired by a man they met in the local pub and, as Karen from the band explains, “He was completely cynical towards activism. I tried to get inside his head, that mistrust and negativity on the refugee crisis, homelessness in Ireland, and the Repeal the 8th movement. As a wise old Irishman once said: “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” ‘Out Of My Hands’ challenges both apathy and skepticism, and asks some difficult questions about our daily engagement, both political and personal, with the world around us."
