Powerful New Dystopian Visuals From Shystie In 'Wake Up'

The music video takes a darker turn as it is a short film about Human Trafficking, a situation very close to Shystie's heart and one she feels very strongly about. There are up to 13,000 victims of human trafficking in the UK and this shocking statistic is something that inspired the idea. The music video was directed and produced by female duo Xiphi and features Shystie herself. ‘Wake Up’ is set in London in the near dystopian future where the pound has crumbled and Chinese influence has spread heavily in society. More people are using the dark web and people can buy with anonymity which has increased the black market economy and created a free flow of trade. This means that human trafficking is now totally out of control.
"So dark without you, when you're gone the lights go out so, I'll set the world on fire with you. No dancing round the truth, when I lie down beside you, no need to look no further, it's cool."
'Wake Up' premiered as Mistajam's 'Jam Hot' and has since become his record of the week, record of the week at Westside Radio and added to the Kiss Fresh playlist Produced by Ads Valu. Shystie has completed an album which is her next project to look out for. In the meantime, enjoy the masterpiece that is 'Wake Up'.
