Volvo Trucks marks fifty years in the UK

Back in 1967, a Scottish company called Ailsa Trucks began importing Volvo lorries into the UK. Now, to commemorate that event’s fiftieth anniversary, the appropriately-named Ailsa Edition has been launched.

Based on the FH Series tractor unit with either 4x2 or 6x2 chassis configurations, buyers get a choice of gold or black colour schemes.

Inside the cab there’s special black and gold leather upholstery, as well as unique gold mats for the floor and engine tunnel.

A comprehensive specification includes TomTom navigation, the Media Package, a television, a fridge-freezer and a microwave oven. Also fitted are I-See Predictive Cruise Control, I-Park Cool stationary air conditioning and the Personal Protection Package.

Volvo Trucks is restricting production of the Ailsa Edition to just fifty units.
