The bizarre expedition was quickly picked up by Mpr News, and soon after Twitter was flooded with the hashtag #mprraccoon and minute-by-minute reports of this unlikely hero’s death-defying stunt. MPR wasted no time rolling out merch commemorating the event either.

This nearly 10-year-old piece profiles the high-stakes world of big ship salvage work. Follow along with an outfit called Titan Salvage as they attempt to save the partially capsized Cougar Ace, along with the $100+ million dollars in Mazdas onboard. If they save the boat, they get a cut, if it goes down, they get nothing. With an Ocean’s 11-like crew of uniquely talented operators, the story of Titan’s work on this ill-fated boat is not to be missed.

Julie, a self-confessed non-watch owner, dedicates her artistic prowess to producing large scale drawings of classic watches. One drawing usually takes anywhere between 200 to 280 hours and 30 to 50 Staedtler Mars Lumograph pencils to finish.
