The lethal dose of marijuana is estimated to be 40,000 times the average dose.

What happens if you smoke too much?

While it may be impossible to overdose on marijuana, it isn’t possible to smoke more than you can handle. Ingesting more THC than your body is ready to cope with can lead to a number of unpleasant sensations. These symptoms can include dizziness, nausea, anxiety/paranoia and more. Experiencing one or more of these is often called “greening out”. It’s important to be accompanied by someone who is experienced with cannabis when getting high for the first few times. Until you get the hang of things, it will also be useful to keep track of your dosing and what strains worked best for you.
