The One Where Abby Has Her Last Day

A few days ago I started working on my final assessments for my Internship Supervisor at school. While filling out information, it occurred to me that I have been working at Worx for 4 months. It has not felt like that at all. As I sit at my desk today, I have really been taking the time to appreciate everything that has happened, the people who I have met, and what I have learned during my time here.

Throughout my internship paperwork, I continued to check off boxes that were labeled as the following: “Exceptional” and “Well Prepared.” That is exactly how it feels to work here at WORX, exceptional and well prepared. While working on new projects each week, I felt myself gaining confidence in my skillset through hands on experiences that sometimes cannot be found in the classroom. I learned how to create Organic Spreadsheets, Content Documents, Sitemaps, schedule and develop social media posts to different platforms, and much more!  I was able to ask questions, think analytically, get out of my comfort zone, and write these fun blogs!

The majority of my positive experience at WORX is awarded to the wonderful team here. Everyone here at WORX is patient, understanding, and they absolutely love what they are doing. They also provide the best forms of comedic relief possible at all given moments throughout the day. I had the privilege of not only celebrating work successes but also outside of work successes with them. For example, I attended Julee’s Baby Shower for Baby Gia during my second week at WORX. What intern gets to say that? I’ve left the office each week with a bigger smile than the week before because of these incredible people. They really do make you feel like you’re a part of the team.

What is next for me you might ask? I will be starting my semester off by taking a class and traveling around Dingle, Ireland for two weeks in January then I will be continuing to stay busy with six classes, work, and my involvement on campus. I’m going to be sad that I will now not be able to spend my Friday’s at WORX anymore but I am excited to see what is to come! Thank you again to everyone at WORX for showing me how special it is to be a WORXer. I’ll be in touch :)
