Multitasking for Champs.

It’s almost August and us College Students know what that means… back to school and the same routine. There have been several blog posts that mentioned how college students balance different tasks and jobs on the daily. However, it’s important to realize that juggling 10 different things can take a serious toll on you… it can get crazy!

That’s why I decided to put together a list of useful Apps that can help you organize your time, tasks, budget, and even health. It’s important to stay organized and not lose sight of your goals. These easily downloadable (and free) apps allow you to do just that – right at your fingertips.

1. Planning!

Everyone’s first thoughts when thinking of staying organized is to go and buy a planner. Maybe it has some psychological power to make you feel like you have your life together? Well, at least that’s how I feel. Whatever the case may be, why not just download an app? The Planning Pro app is specifically designed for you to organize e v e r y t h i n g. From specific dates, to projects, reminders, and the ability to link the app to your email. Instead of checking your Calendar app, your Reminder app, and your emails all separately, why not have it all linked up in one app? Ah, the sweet sweet organization. (And yes, it’s available for both iPhones and Androids!)

2. All about the MULA.

For us college students, it’s no secret that our finances may be struggling a bit. That’s why it’s important to budget. With the Mint Budgeting App, you can link your bank account to the app and it divides your expenses and budgets for the month. A HUGE help for those of us with bills, savings, and more. Yes, you can do it yourself… but a free app won’t hurt either (especially for those of us who hate dealing with numbers and math).

3. Food.

By far, the hardest part of juggling 50 million things in one day is food. Not that I forget to actually eat (although it happens), but I just can’t seem to eat healthy, especially when I’m on the go. With the “True Food” app, you can learn which supermarkets carry fresh and organic foods (as opposed to GMOs that are terrible for your health). Once you have your groceries, meal prepping is the number one effective way to make sure you get the nutrition you need! Mealplan Meal and Grocery Planner is just one of the many apps on the app store to make your nutrition life even easier. Trust me, preparing your meals ahead of time will save you so much time and energy during the week.

4. Don’t forget to breathe!

Last, but certainly not least, stress is a huge factor during the school/work year. You’d be surprised as to how many apps are out there to help keep your cool. “Stress Tracker” is an app that allows you to balance all emotions and stress that you endure on a day to day basis. It gives you tips on how to handle whatever stress factors you have. “GPS for the Soul” is a “peaceful” app meant to soothe and nurture your sweet little soul! Peaceful music and breathing techniques are just a few of the features. These apps were designed to help you when you’re feeling down and try to relieve some pressure. You deserve a break once in awhile too!

This list isn’t meant to tell you what to do. If you don’t need any apps or assistance, kudos to you! But for those of you that do, these (free) apps will sure make some aspects of your life easier. So, while interning, working, studying, or whatever it is that you’re doing, you’ll have (some) weights lifted off your shoulder. Being in the age of technology… why not take advantage of it?
