FeedBooster New Powerful Enterprise Solutions It is Not a Just RSS Reader It Is A Repository for Feed Info

FeedBooster provides you with more than just a list of feed items. Feeds imported into FeedBooster are pre-processed in a way that makes it easier to search, browse and explore them. FeedBooster doubles as a dynamic archive and knowledge tool to mine for information.

How FeedBooster works
You can sign in with Google, Facebook or OpenID. If you sign in with Google, it is easy to import your feeds from Google Reader. You can also add pre-defined feed sets on popular topics or add your own favorite feeds.

If, like me, you subscribe to a lot of feeds, you might be surprised to find that the feeds can not be organized in folders. This is because FeedBooster is not a RSS reader; it is a repository for feed info. Its power is to let you search or filter the information in your feeds.

You can weed out the irrelevant from the relevant information in a few clicks by specifying a simple or complex combination of specific date(s), author(s), feed source(s), tags, and language options; all in a fully-customizable dashboard. The sorting criteria can be seen in the left hand margin in the screenshot above.

Your searches can be saved for later. Your saved searches are called search profiles and to make one, you start your search using the search field or the search filters. You then click on “Save a new search profile” below your selected filters, insert the name you want for the profile and click on “Add”.

You can choose how to view the search results — a view with excerpts in tiles (like above), a “cable view” were the some information is presented as a list or the minimalist version where you get a list containing just date, source and title.

Little icons on each item lets you share the story on Twitter or Facebook, send it by email or bookmark it, approximately like you would expect.

And there’s more about FeedBooster
I recently interviewed Q-Sensei CEO Ute Rother, who explained that FeedBooster is not just a free web service to showcase the capabilities of Q-Sensei’s enterprise search platform

- It was planned for the purpose of serving the dire need to help users get more out of RSS feeds. We will develop more products — that will form the Booster Suite — for different content types like social media, for example.

Today, FeedBooster is a browser based application. Q-Sensei is continuing development of FeedBooster: A tablet versions (for iOS and Android) will be announced before year end. Other Booster applications
