IT’S TIME TO CHANGE YOUR JOB

With the increasing age, our expenses also increases and to bear those a job becomes necessary. During the initial days/months of joining any company, we are full of confidence, passion, enthusiasm and a zeal to be the hero of the office. But by time things changes and you can feel the dullness in yourself, you are not passionate about the work that has been handed over to you, you try to deflect all the work related topics, but still you keep sitting on that job coz it is worth enough to pay your bills. If you are not happy with what you are doing, is it worth it? Sometimes you don’t even realize that your job is affecting you personally as well and it’s the time to change your Current job.
Here we are sharing top 10 symptoms which say that it’s time to change your job.

Ø  Procrastination – Sometimes work is on the table, but you keep sitting on it and do it at the last moment with a half-baked effort. Usually, procrastination is viewed as a personal weakness, but this is the strongest symptom that shows you are not happy with what you are doing.

Ø  Sunday Night Anxiety – Weekends are there to release the work stress, to chill with friends and family, going out for shopping, have fun but what if the Sunday night comes with anxiety to join the job back on Monday? Getting up early in the morning, then doing the same routine work at the workplace is what makes you feel sick. It’s an alarm that says it’s time to change your job.

Ø  You are losing your passion– You had a feeling of excitement towards your job when you first joined it, but now you feel sick and numb. You are not at all excited about the new projects, tasks or the upcoming opportunities. Loving what you do is the most important thing but if you don’t feel that way, it will all end up with a deeper frustration in the long run.

Ø  You are consistently stressed, negative and unhappy at work – If thinking about work or office makes you anxious and stressed, you are all the more negative with every small or big problem in your personal or professional life, that’s a good sign that it’s time to move on.

Ø  You are bored or stagnating at your job – Learning new things is required in every phase of life whether personal or professional, even the stagnant water as well putrefies. If you are not getting enough opportunities for advancement or haven’t learned anything new in past few months, it must be the time to leave.

Ø  Work-life balance is missing – When the tendency of spending your nights or work hours in office get increased, and you are unable to devote some time to the family because of work, you should start looking a job somewhere else.

Ø  Work days seems so long – “Oh my god, it’s only 1 PM right now, 5 more hours yet to go at 6 PM.” Work hours seems long when you have nothing much to do, and all you think is to make it till 6 PM somehow and this says that you are done with your current job.

Ø  Small things bug you – Someone talking so loud, has taken up a lot of parking space, pushing you to do something which you don’t like, etc., all these small annoyance bug you out of all proportion. Unhappiness at work leads to a shorter fuse, and it doesn’t take a lot to annoy you.

Ø  You are physically sick – You feel sluggish, sleepy at your desk, headache, anxiety, dullness, insomnia, muscle tension, low energy, etc. says that your work is taking a lot out of you and you are at the edge of changing the job immediately.

Ø  Inability to focus – You sit down at your desk with full of energy, ready to work, and hours later you realize that nothing have accomplished in last few hours. All you did is to check your social media platforms, chatting on WhatsApp, played some games, and some small talks with friends and relatives. Distraction is common, but if you generally are a competent person that can’t seem to focus now, it says that your job is a bad fit for you.

So once you realize it might is the time to leave, first you should set goals for your next job that what are responsibilities you are looking forward to, company culture, compensation and benefit, designation, etc., you want to change the job then want to search for another one or while working for the current one you wanna find a new job, want to be in the same field or want to explore other options. Now once you decide everything, serve proper notice period to the current employer and go for a new one.
