TAB Style – Nybfw Spring ‘18: Whimsical Charm with MarchesaThis was actually my first time attending a Marchesa presentation during market, but I’ve been stalking their IG forever in a day! Marchesa actually unveiled two collections at their spring presentation but I’m focusing on their whimsical vignette. A central theme was soft flirty and vintage touches contrasted against stark black accents. As you can see above, several gowns featured black waistbands or piping which gave the entire collection a more modern feel. Although, I’m pretty sure I can call it at this point that a major trend you’re going to see for Spring ‘18 is a return to the Victorian style. I’ve seen quite a few high neck, lace bodices paired against full satin or silk skirts (of course each done in the designer’s own unique way) across several collections so far.
